We are specialists in athletic injuries with an emphasis on correcting and preventing musculoskeletal injuries and biomechanical imbalances. Our clinical experience and ongoing active participation in sport give us a unique approach to treating athletes. We treat athletes of all ages and abilities, from local beginners and first-time participants to international, world-class athletes. Our expertise also covers common aches and pains experienced with everyday life.

Our approach and goals remain consistent for each of our patients: identify and correct the current problem, provide instruction to manage the injury while it heals, and determine a specific plan to prevent future occurrence.

All treatments are personalized for the individual and their specific needs. We are not a five-minute “in-and-out” chiropractic clinic. A proper diagnosis and treatment takes time, so initial visits can take up to an hour and returning visits sometimes up to 40 minutes, one-on-one with the doctor. Each visit is a combination of a complete movement analysis using the Selective Functional Movement Assessment and a combination of the most current and effective manual therapy and corrective rehab techniques.

What started as a tool to help reduce pain caused by fibromyalgia and rheumatoid arthritis in Japan back in 1978, has now been picked up by the athletic industry to assist in reducing inflammation and help accelerate recovery time.

Cryotherapy involves releasing liquid nitrogen vapors into a partially confined chamber, otherwise known as a Cryosauna. Once the Cryosauna has reached a freezing temperature of -140°F to -160°F, the participant will step into the chamber wearing undergarments, socks, slippers, and gloves. Our session lasts for 3-minutes, which is equivalent to a one hour, full-body ice bath.

During a session in the Cryosauna, the participant’s extremities send signals to the brain that result in the body moving blood from the extremities to the core in order to protect the internal organs. The blood being forced from the extremities to the core increases oxygen within the circulatory system, which can increase the delivery of nutrients and enzymes to muscles and joints.

After completion of the 3-minute session, the body will begin to warm up. During this process, the oxygen enriched blood that has been pumped throughout the body may increase the metabolic rate which in turn may produce an endorphin rush. Whole body cryotherapy has been also been linked to a reduction in muscle soreness, fatigue, and joint stiffness/pain as well as an increase in mobility.

Potential benefits of whole body cryotherapy include:
- Increased energy
- Enhanced performance
- Reduced inflammation
- Accelerated injury recovery time
- Pain relief from arthritis and other chronic ailments

Instead of using static compression (constant squeeze) to transport fluid throughout the body, Normatec employs dynamic compression in the form of Sequential Pulse Technology (pulsing squeeze). Sequential Pulse Technology was designed to replicate natural muscle movement, which makes Normatec compression therapy much more effective than traditional compression methods.

In addition to a more natural compression pattern, Sequential Pulse Technology functions to increase steady circulation of fluids, which preventing backflow of fluids into your feet. Normatec employs distal release, ensuring that the pressure placed on your muscles supports---but does not interfere with---the body's natural circulatory function.

Though highly effective as its own treatment method, Normatec can be combined with Whole Body Cryotherapy to achieve an even higher level of soft tissue recovery and performance.
